What is the standard « Entreprises de services funéraires »?

This is the first standard of its kind to emerge in the country. This standard is like ISO and verifies that the requirements for the quality of customer service and quality of facilities correspond to the defined standards.

BNQ developed to BNQ 9700-699 Funeral Businesses – professional certified (Entreprises de services funéraires – professionnalisme certifié) with the help of a balanced committees, composed of representatives of Réseau FADOQ (Golden Age of Quebec), the Consumer Protection Office, a cemeterian, the Corporation des Thanatologues du Québec, funeral homes, a theologian, an academic … It defines the standards of professionalism to achieve, based on values such as commitment, respect, listening, empathy, ethics and integrity

It is with great pride that we are the first funeral home to be certified Entreprises de services funéraires – professionnalisme certifié by Le Bureau de normalization du Québec (BNQ).

For over 90 years, our family and our dedicated staff has offered attentive and caring support to the bereaved families of our communities.

When the opportunity arose to be certified by the new standard, it appeared to us as a logical sequence of continuous improvement and pursuit of excellence.

The process leading to this certification was not an easy one; it took more than 1½ years of effort and multiple procedures and processes to document and complete.

This standard represents, in many respects, a remarkable value for our customers and our funeral home.

This is a quality seal issued by an independent third party that will allow customers to easily recognize our high quality standards.
