An 87 year life well-lived.
On May 16th in Valleyfield, QC, Mom passed away with her loving family by her side. Born in Grand Falls, NB in 1928 to Herbert and Gladys, she eventually met Dad and in 1949 they began their lives together. Following their wedding, they started their legacy – their children, Kristen (Doug), Pepper/Howie (Elane), Kandis (Mike), Scott, Nancy (Peter), Wayne, Carole (Edward) and Blake. The family grew to include grandchildren Laura, Dana, H.L., Jeremy, Jessie, William, Jenna and family pets, Sandy, Jack and, especially, Fudge. Mom is survived by her sister, Carole Michaud of Grand Falls and is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mom had no greater joy than to be surrounded by her children, enjoying Tia Maria after dinner, listening to Nat King Cole and bantering about her beloved Blackhawks – lots of loonies and toonies exchanged between her and Blake! We will miss seeing her feeding her blue jays or sitting at the dining table with her coffee and challenging us with her crossword skills. Our heartfelt thanks to our family friend, Norma, for her loving support and special care to us and her Donita. A private gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate Mom’s remarkable life. Flowers to the family home or donation to the CNIB are appreciated (www.cnib.ca).
