M. Claude Roy, autrefois de St-Timothée, ayant aussi vécu longtemps dans la région d’Ottawa-Gatineau, est décédé à l’âge de 77 ans, le 8 mars 2017 à St-Jérôme. Mr. Claude Roy, formerly resident of St-Timothée and the region of Ottawa-Gatineau, passed away on March 8, 2017 in St-Jérôme. He leaves to mourn his beloved children Bruno (Catherine Vick), Pascal (Valérie Diotte), Melissa (Matthew Charette), grandchildren Edward, Emily, Élaurie, Chanèlie, Antonin, Lexie, Alexia, Ellie, sister Agathe, brothers late Sylvio (Simone), Réal (Jacqueline), family and friends. For many years Claude was my colleague at Health Canada where he stood out as a person of absolute integrity. His professionalism was the highest. I am so sad for his family, but they can take great pride in him, and in the esteem in which he was held by all who knew him. Carol Jerusalem
Claude was my friend and colleague for many years at the Health Promotion Directorate where, in his unassuming, wonderfully bilingual way, he made a great contribution to national education and training programs. He was a fine, loyal man and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. Courage.
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I always had a great respect for Claude, with whom I worked on a number of projects with Rick Wilson. Claude was a valued colleague whose contributions were always appreciated.
I met Claude when he was working in the Education and Training Unit of the Health Promotion Directorate in Ottawa. In my entire career I have never met another person who worked as hard as Claude or was as dedicated to ensuring precision in his work. Moreover, he was a kind, thoughtful man who will be missed by his family and friends to whom I offer my sincere condolences.
Claude and I worked together in the Education and Training Unit at Health Canada. He was an amazing person who could always be counted on to find a solution to any problem. He was a friend and a mentor. I’ll always remember his kindness.
